Bea's depth of knowledge and her focus on results made for a very engaging project. We conducted our cultural assessment to gauge our current corporate structure and underlying cultural attributes, and to identify any gaps or weaknesses which would prevent us from moving forward with our growth plans. She was honest, insightful and created a safe, constructive environment in which our team could powerfully explore our working environment.

 My Superpowers

Helping leaders see the world through the eyes of their employees in an effort to:

  • Grow potential
  • Harness passion and happiness
  • Inspire company cultures that are driven by core values and what is important
  • Be a lens to make visible what is invisible
  • Create the channel for transformation

My stand in life is for CONNECTION and EMPATHY. "If we can see the world through the eyes of others, we can come together to understand that our diversity is a gift to each other."

The Work I do and Love

I empower courageous leaders to build game-changing cultures and high-performance teams through compassionate leadership.

What is Compassionate Leadership.
Some people think Compassion means being nice.
It does not.

Compassionate leadership is founded in 3 commitments:

  1. Kindness with Candour - Being honest and transparent with the intent to help people continue grow
  2. Living company values – Being clear people know what is important and how they contibute
  3. Caring enough to ensure people are not only doing a great job, they are happy doing that great job

My love for culture design began when I led a nationwide transformation project for Canadian Blood Services early in my career. I was privileged to have deep and authentic conversations with people across the country.  I experienced  how deeply culture impacted work life and many times home life.   I carry this with me in the work I do.  Today I help leaders seek out what is invisible and make it visible. The key is not only to operationalize culture but to also humanize culture.

Take care of your people, your people will take care of your business.

Happy people build happy families; happy families build, and happy communities and ultimately build a better world.

 Wisdom from my sister Zsuzsa

I grew up with a sister that was 7 years older than me. She did not speak when she was young. The doctor said she needed someone to love. This is how I came to be. Zsuzsa was the most extraordinary sister. At times I felt like she raised me. When Zsuzsa graduated from high school she took me to Disneyland; just the two of us on a whimsical journey of love and laughter. When I had kids she loved them like her own. She was taken from me too soon by ovarian cancer.

When I was little she told me that "dragonflies are magical." "When you see one it is to remind you that miracles are happening around us all the time." The day she passed over there were dragonflies everywhere in my life. That summer there were large dragonflies above the front door of our home. I know it was her and her reminder to me. Today I have dragonflies all around me. Whether I can see them or not I know they are with me, connecting me deeper to this world full of miracles.

My Fur Babies and My Dog Book
that really is about Self Leadership

It is impartant for you to know I am a dog mom. I live with two beautiful fur babies. Eddie is a Grand Pyrenees Maremma. She is playful, fiercely smart and if you are not paying attention she will outwit you.  Buckley is our eldest and was rescused as a puppy. He is a wise old man now . He is calm and kind and loyal. He also takes good care of his sister and protects our family. I have loved dogs all my life. They give me an energy I can't explain. They teach lesson I would have never learned without them. During Covid 19 , I decided to write a little book about Dogs. Dogs are the whispers into our souls. They live with unconditional love and if you listen carefully, they can inspire us to be better human beings. Some people asked me why I am writting a dog book when my work- focuses on Leadership. Think about it. What kind of leaders evolve from uncoditional love? There are so many leadership lessons to be learned from our canine friends. It is also a joy to be able to combine my two passions:  leadership and dogs.

 How Dogs Make Us Better

Tails of unconditional love

It is a bit crazy. My passion for leadership and my love for dogs is how the book was born during the deep dark days of Covid 19. I know they are two different worlds, but you can learn from both in different ways. This book focuses on the canine world with real leadership learnings. I talk with so many people every day with incredible stories about their dogs and the impact dogs have on their lives. I hope this book inspires readers to not take our dogs for granted; listen to the whispers they have to offer and understand that we are learning from them every day.

 Wanting to change the world

Modern transformation can not happen without compassionate leadership. This recognition began when I was doing humanitarian work many years ago. It has been resting in my soul growing with each new experience in my life. Back then worked with victims of the Mississippi floods in the United State. I worked with Corporate America bringing in badly needed supplies and product. I was a logistic officer rerouting resources and people. Most meaningful for me, I worked on the ground with victims. The cultivating that deep connection by seeing the world through their eyes and feeling the world through their hearts. My first introduction to a new way of being ; a compassionate way of being.

Today I am a pioneer of compassionate leadership in the workplace; helping leaders and employees see the world through the lens of others, helping to cultivate deeper connections, and leveraging human uniqueness.

I still want to change the world  - one company at a time.
